A Buying and Selling Trip
It’s hot. By hot, I refer to a heat dome with record breaking temperatures of 100° +. It been three consistent days of temperatures reaching over 100° and feeling like 111°. It’s put a damper on loading for the show. With only a few days before departure up the river there is much to be done. The heat wave has kept us indoors sewing labels, stamping tags and pricing garments.
America’s oldest and largest outdoor show Summer Brimfield is the second of three events in south central Massachusetts. Thousands of buyers and sellers converge on the small town. The Antique Show spans a mile along Route 20 with 20 plus fields and runs for six days.
Asemblage333 can be found at sunrise Tuesday July 14 at Quaker Acres in space 100 on the main driveway just before the tall pines. Quaker Acres has a versatile group of vendors and artisans and is a great go to for antiques, art, textiles and vintage clothing. It is a central location to park and walk in both directions.
The cast of characters and merchandise is unending. My neighbors are friendly and bring an array of goods. You never know what you will find.
I have had a very productive time since our last show. I am bringing some new lines and of course my signature Cropped Quilt Chore Coats.
This Santa Fe sourced quilt was a favorite and sold in one day.
